Claire's been making pictures for video since before there was a PC or a Macintosh or anything like that ("Why, I remember when we'd only use 16 colors, and we'd like it! And antialiasing was only for rich people!"). Starting at One Pass Film and Video, where she first met Buena, in 1982, she left after a few years to become one of California's first Paintbox artists. Always on the lookout for The Latest Thing, Claire has worked in production facilities, TV stations, multimedia and interactive television companies throughout the Bay Area. She chronicled the technological explosion in broadcast design for Television Broadcast magazine for ten years, and continues to write an occasional article as a contributing editor for Videography. Most recently, Claire was Art Director at WebTV Networks, Inc., but truly missed the video industry. Trading Silicon Valley for SOMA, and animated gifs for the Flame, Claire gleefully joined SFPG in May of 1998. |
