Leroy began his career in theatre, as a sound designer and composer, and as a freelance sound recordist. With formal training in Electronic Music and Media Arts, through the Center for Experimental and Interdisciplinary Art at San Francisco State University, Leroy's breadth of experience assures clients of a creative and fresh approach to their audio needs.
Maintaining an active interest in the art community at large, Leroy has been involved in installations of interactive media with visual artist and long-time collaborator Monte Thompson. His activity in the music industry ranges from house engineer/road manager for performing groups, to digital editing and pre-mastering for CD production. Most notable recent projects include: The San Francisco Sinfonetta with pianist Jeremy Michael, Voice Farm's "Love Experiment", and The Sunshine Club's "Visit to a Small Planet". Since joining the staff at SFPG over ten years ago, he has provided creative sound solutions and digital audio post for a wide range of clients, from agencies like DMB&B, Citron/Haligman, Ketchum, Mars, Mering & Assoc. and Chiat/Day, to interactive projects like the CD-ROM game "Wrath of the Gods" and U.S. West's interactive TV channel GOtv. |
